Michael J. Fletcher has been an associate at Wanger Jones Helsley PC since September 2010. Mr. Fletcher’s practice is primarily focused on representing business clients in a range of disputes including contract litigation, creditors’ rights, loan workouts and collections, partnership and LLC dissolutions, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, title subrogation, and insolvency matters of all types.
Mr. Fletcher has a special interest in banking litigation and representing creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 12 bankruptcies. He has represented lenders on matters involving commercial and real estate loans, drafted successful applications for Writs of Attachment, negotiated and drafted Forbearance and Loan Modification Agreements, and aided in prosecuting and defending lawsuits relating to construction loans. Regarding bankruptcy, Mr. Fletcher has represented creditors in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California. He has experience negotiating plans of reorganization, prosecuting and defending Adversary Proceedings, obtaining relief from the Automatic Stay, and litigating issues of fraud, preferential transfers, and subrogation.
Mr. Fletcher is admitted to practice in all California State Courts and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California. Furthermore, Mr. Fletcher is a member of several associations, including the Federal Bar Association Banking Law Section, the Eastern District Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, Fresno County Bar Association, Fresno County Young Lawyers Association, the Central California Bankruptcy Association, and the Cal Poly and UC Davis Alumni Associations.
