Ethan Mora joined Wanger Jones Helsley as Of Counsel in 2024. His practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis in cybersecurity, privacy, fraud, breach of contract, and consumer protection-related claims. Mr. Mora serves clients across a wide range of sectors, including e-commerce, fintech, blockchain, digital media, healthcare, and agriculture.  Since joining Wanger Jones Helsley PC, Mr. Mora has been growing the transactional and corporate side of his practice, serving as a trusted legal advisor and providing sound guidance and counsel for clients in e-commerce and real estate, drafting and advising on privacy, cybersecurity, and various other online and internal policies and issues for both for-profit and non-profit companies.

Mr. Mora has developed a strong track record of efficiently and effectively resolving novel and complex matters through early-stage communications, exceptionally diligent investigations, negotiated settlements, alternative dispute resolution strategies, and zealous advocacy in both federal and state court litigations. He is a vigilant, hardworking, and creative legal advocate who is recognized by his clients as a practical and trusted legal advisor, and as a thought-leader and trailblazer in the fields of cryptocurrency, cyber threat prevention, and data breach response and mitigation strategies. Mr. Mora has developed an outstanding reputation for successfully obtaining favorable settlements and recoveries for his clients in some of the most challenging, unique, and high-stakes cases, involving highly technical and emerging issues.

Prior to joining Wanger Jones Helsley, Mr. Mora worked as a litigation associate for a V100 law firm in Los Angeles, before founding his own law office, The Law Office of Ethan Mora, where he primarily represented individual consumers, small businesses, and victims of cybercrimes in a wide array of cybersecurity and cryptocurrency-related matters, including the first “SIM Swap” cases ever prosecuted in the United States, as well as a high-profile and first-of-its-kind malware litigation involving the alleged theft of over $1,000,000 in Bitcoin.
