Michelle Rocha Frea
Michelle Rocha Frea joined Wanger Jones Helsley PC in 2026. Her practice focuses on corporate transactions, business formation and governance, and estate planning. Prior to joining WJH, Ms. Frea was a consultant at a leading global firm in San Francisco, where she advised private equity, Fortune 500, and nonprofit clients on strategy and operations.
During grad school, she interned as a summer associate at an Am Law 100 firm, where she worked on corporate transactional matters for startup and growth-stage clients. She also held legal internships at Molson Coors and an agriculture technology startup, as well as an investment internship with a venture capital firm.
Ms. Frea was selected as an LCLD Scholar, participated in the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic, served on the boards of the Entrepreneurship Law Center and Food and Agriculture Club, and was active in Women in Business. She earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University through its three-year JD-MBA program and holds her undergraduate degree from Brown University.
She remains involved with her undergraduate alma mater as a member of class leadership at Brown University and volunteers with Kids in Need of Defense as a pro bono attorney. Ms. Frea brings a unique business perspective through her startup operator and consulting experiences, as well as her time spent working on her family's farm in Easton.
