Riley C. Walter

Riley C. Walter joined Wanger Jones Helsley PC in 2019 as a shareholder after more than two decades leading his own law firm. Mr. Walter has a statewide reputation for his work in insolvency matters and reorganizations under Chapters 9, 11, and 12 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. His practice focuses on representing troubled businesses and guiding clients through complex restructuring, insolvency, and reorganization matters. Mr. Walter has handled cases involving large farming entities, agribusiness operations, dairies, wineries, developers, retail companies, transportation companies, medical groups, and oil and gas ventures.

He has also developed a subspecialty practice assisting financially distressed hospital districts. Mr. Walter’s extensive experience working with businesses facing financial distress allows him to provide strategic guidance on restructuring options, creditor negotiations, and reorganization strategies designed to preserve operations and maximize enterprise value.
