On February 28, 2023, Mr. Cardella presented the 2022 California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) case law update at the Advanced CEQA Workshop hosted by the Association of Environmental Professionals, Central Chapter, in Fresno, California.  The presentation summarized the most important appellate opinions from the last year and addressed recent developments and emerging trends related to project descriptions, alternative analysis, development of mitigation measures, historic resource analysis, project approval, preemption, application of categorical exemptions, exhaustion of administrative remedies, and the intersection of CEQA and water rights, among other things.

Mr. Cardella is an attorney at Wanger Jones Helsley and currently serves as Secretary for the Association of Environmental Professionals, Central Chapter.  Mr. Cardella’s practice focuses on environmental law, land use law, water law, and public agency law, with particular emphasis on CEQA litigation and counseling.
