“Participating and working with the American Heart Association has been a wonderful reminder that even the smallest acts can accomplish great things when we work together. It’s been an honor to represent Wanger Jones Helsley in supporting our community.”
– Iris C. Chiu and Stephanie M. Hosman, Team Captains of WJH Heart and Stroke Walk Team
WJH was well-represented at the American Heart Association’s 2020 Central Valley Heart & Stroke Walk Digital Experience this year. With its friends and families, WJH successfully helped fundraise for the annual Heart and Stroke Walk.
This year’s edition of the Heart and Stroke Walk was digital with several of WJH’s employees participating online and through physical activities to honor heart and stroke survivors while raising lifesaving funds. In the months leading up to the event, WJH held many fundraising events to help contribute to the American Heart Association’s approximately $132,000 result.
As a proud supporter of the American Heart Association and its events, WJH became one of the most outstanding fundraisers this year. Out of twenty-four companies and forty-nine teams, WJH earned 2nd place as an Outstanding Fundraiser Team and 3rd place as an Outstanding Fundraiser Company for the event.
The American Heart Association has grown into the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. All proceeds from the event went toward the American Heart Association’s goal of funding innovative research, advocating for stronger public health policies, and providing public health education to the local area to change a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Thank you to everyone who helped support this great cause this year!
