The San Joaquin Valley Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates recently bestowed its 2018 Civility Award on current Partner and retired Federal Judge Oliver W. Wanger. The award, presented at the Vintage Press on Saturday, April 21, 2018, recognizes Mr. Wanger’s dedication to “…the ABOTA principles of civility, integrity and professionalism.” Having tried or presided over 600 jury trials to verdict, Mr. Wanger certainly had a tremendous body of work supporting the ABOTA honor. In fact, Mr. Wanger is consistently recognized for his trial prowess by other esteemed organizations including, Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, Fresno County Bar Association Bernie Witkin Lifetime Achievement Award, Martindale Hubbell 25 Year Preeminent Rating (5 out of 5 for competence and integrity) Award, and the Federal Bar Association Hon. Robert E. Coyle Professionalism Award, to name a few.
WJH has worked to create a culture committed to these principles, and we proudly join the ABOTA membership in congratulating Mr. Wanger in his latest achievement.
Congratulations Mr. Wanger from all of us at WJH!
